Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood is one of the four central districts of Berlin (the others are Mitte, Friedrichshain, and Kreuzberg). The apartment is located at the small park Helmholtzplatz, which is surround by bars, restaurants, boutiques and other stores. The area is very safe and family-friendly, as many young family reside here.

The closest Subway station is "Eberswalder Strasse" (5-10 min. walk) on the U2 line, which runs to Alexanderplatz. Other public transportation (tramway and S-Bahn) is equally close and also runs to Mitte, where most of the museums and other sites interesting for visitors are located.
